A Start-Up Story: SRV’s Influence on Do For One

Social Role Valorization is commonly used for the purposes of improving services within established organizations. How about a start-up? Do For One , founded in 2015, is a Citizen Advocacy-based program located in New York City. Andrew Oliver will tell the story of Do For One while detailing the benefits and challenges of implementing SRV ideas from the very start. SRV can serve as a guide when making organizational decisions and when building freely-given relationships between valued and devalued people.  As always, time will be given for the presentation, followed by group discussion and reflection together.
