8th International Social Role Valorization Conference- Halifax, Nova Scotia, CA

The 8th International Social Role Valorization (SRV) Conference will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada May 7-9, 2025. Pre-conference events will take place May 5 and 6. SRV theory, derived from the principle of normalization, was first defined by Wolf Wolfensberger in 1983. Over the past 40 plus years, many have used SRV theory to guide their work in supporting individuals and families, education, training, and advocacy.

OF NORMALIZATION AND SOCIAL ROLE VALORIZATION:
THE GOOD THINGS OF LIFE AT HOME, SCHOOL, WORK, AND BEYOND
This conference is an opportunity for practitioners, human service providers, policymakers, advocates, educators and trainers, individuals who receive services and their families to come together to discuss the role that SRV has on their lives and/or in their work. We will consider presentations and papers on a variety of topics that relate to the implementation, influence, and impact of SRV Theory.
