Social Role Valorization as a framework introduces us to so many useful concepts. This workshop will focus on one such concept, known as the “Conservatism Corollary”, helps us understand the need to prevent, reduce, and compensate for vulnerability. A big influencer in whether an option will deliver real benefits to a person depends on if it is powerful enough to compensate. In this workshop, we’ll talk about how we might “bend over backwards” and see the greatest likelihood of positive change, and will also help us as we struggle to weigh out the benefits and drawbacks of different approaches.

Pre-Requisite: At least 1/2 day introductory workshop in Social Role Valorization is required
