DESCRIPTION:“SRV leaders from across India will gather together in person to strengthen ourselves and each other\, to envision ways to bring the powerful ideas we share forward\, and to build our change movement. We will rely on our gathered group with our experience\, passion\, and sense of community to set direction for the upcoming few years. For practical reasons\, we are unable to bring all AISRV members together\, but are inviting some leaders to be a part of this gathering\, and together will find ways to include everyone. \n  \nWe’ve all adapted\, grown\, and managed to build our SRV community through the days of 100% Zoom\, and thankfully\, things are changing. There are many practices we’ll want to carry forward\, and ones we don’t but there will always be a place for sharing physical space\, and this is one of those moments. \n  \nSo join us as we plot and plan for a future full of great possibility and potential for people with disability and their families. We’ll stay together\, share meals together\, and invite an atmosphere of creativity\, growth\, high expectations\, and celebration. SUMMARY:Foundations of Inclusive Practice: A Glimpse of SRV (Hindi)
DESCRIPTION:Across India\, change leaders committed to better lives for people with developmental and psychosocial disability are talking and learning about Social Role Valorization\, a powerful set of ideas about how to assist people to have full\, rich\, meaningful lives. SRV provides a high-order framework for understanding the society in which we live\, and the place people with disabilities tend to hold within in. As well\, SRV thinking is accompanied by very practical implementation strategies to help people with disabilities have access to the good things of life. Please join us as we introduce participants to the basics of Social Role Valorization. This overview event will present the idea of assisting people with disabilities and other devalued conditions to have positive social roles as a productive and helpful response to wounding life experiences. People wishing to understand the life experiences of people they support and the implications of those life experiences\, and are committed to the work of making life better are encouraged to attend.This foundational material is essential to those wishing to serve others in meaningful ways\, and who are impassioned to make a difference in the lives of others.
