ELKS
Darcy
has been working, and sharing her life, with persons who are societally
devalued for more than 20 years. She has been invited to share her
insights and experiences throughout the United States, Canada, England and
Australia. She has worked in a variety of human services, conducted
many training events, evaluated services, and has been a consultant to programs
that are striving for quality. As well, Darcy has been an advocate
for persons with disabilities. She is the mother of three children,
one of whom has Down Syndrome. Darcy

This five-day workshop is an intensive follow-up to the three or four
day social role valorization workshop. Participants work in small groups
while visiting human service settings to observe and evaluate the service
setting from a social role valorization perspective.
